Wednesday, 11th February

Japanese troops advanced with tanks down Jurong Road, Ulu Pandan Road and Reformatory Road (which is known today as "Clementi Road"). Mines, barbed and trip wire obstacles as well as manned pillboxes all failed to stop the enemy's relentless advance.

At about 2000 hours, the Malay Regiment positions in the area west of Reformatory Road came under heavy artillery fire. Troops guarding the Pasir Panjang crossroads also clashed with the Japanese.
