Pasir Panjang Battle Diary

Thursday, 12th February

Sensing the danger of a tank break-through into the town area, Lt-General Percival ordered a close perimeter defence to include Peirce and MacRitchie Reservoirs.

Japanese renewed their attacks on all fronts with tanks and artillery. Together with the 44th Indian Brigade and the 2nd Loyals Regiment, the Malay Regiment repulsed the attacks. However, in the chaotic and confused situation, the troops decided to withdraw further inland.
