The Battle of Bukit Chandu – an Animated Feature
An RBC Exclusive

Catch this 10 minute animated feature, created by students from Nanyang Polytechnic’s School of Design at our Bukit Chandu Theatre. This feature won two awards: Animation (Best of Show) Award at the Crowbar Awards and a Merit award for 2D & 3D animation at Comgraph in 2005. (more details)

Bukit Chandu Roving Play

This play by homegrown drama company, Stagehandz, re-enact the sense of desperation, loss and inevitability, as well as the love for the land, felt by the Malay Regiment soldiers and residents of Pasir Panjang during the Fall of Singapore in 1942. This pilot roving play was seen by more than 10,000 visitors in 2002... (more)

Operation Maths Defence

Operation Maths Defence On 15 Feb 05, 300 primary school children used their wits and creativity to compete against each other in our first Operation Maths Defence. The activity, held by RBC to commemorate Total Defence Day, brought two seemingly unrelated topics, Mathematics and History, together and allow students to learn more about the Battle of Pasir Panjang through creative and innovative games. Asian Children's Expo

RBC, for its first time, has taken part in the Asian Children's Expo, as part of the 2004 Asian Children's Festival. Besides challenging games and puzzles, interesting WWII replicas were on display at the RBC booth. Fun-filled sand art activity and an interactive drama performances also kept our young visitors entertained throughout the 4 days at Expo. (more)
